CHATTAHOOCHEE RIVER

The first print in an ongoing Chattahoochee River investigation entitled THE RIVER PROJECT.

The river, with a life of its own and a trove of stories swirling in its muddy depths, divides the land, separating not only states, but states of mind.

The print was cut on-site, alongside the river in October of 2010 during a visiting artist residency at Columbus State University's Department of Art in Columbus, Georgia. Neal invited the public to visit and record their river stories to be incorporated into the project at a later date. Artist-designed River Talk buttons were given to partcipants.
